SC: Restoring Vision

The COVID pandemic wiped out SC’s used auto business and he was unable to pay his bills. He became homeless and entered the OMI Men’s Shelter. There, our medical team met him and began to care for him. Besides out of control blood pressure, he had severe vision problems and couldn’t get a job because he “couldn’t see”. Dr. Hall put him on medicine for his blood pressure and referred him to an eye specialist. The specialist operated on his cataracts at no charge. SC stayed at the Men’s Shelter for four more months, getting a job and saving his money. Now he is on his feet and works selling cars. He continues to receive his medicine from H3.
